Here are some pictures of Terry's homecoming last month. We stood in the rain for hours waiting for the plane to land, and I was a drowned mess by the time I saw Terry. Even so, it was incredible!

YAY! Terry's coming home! It's been a loooong four months, and a lot has happened since we've been apart. It really wasn't that bad, and now I can say that I survived. A small part of me is sad to say goodbye to the summer and all of the girlfriend time that I've enjoyed. It's been an amazing summer, but I'm happy it's over! And all I really want is for Terry to walk off of that plane tonight. Terry's my hero!

Terry left today, and I was able to see him off this morning. It was SO early--hours before the sun came up! I even got to see Terry take off; It was so awesome! These are all the pictures I have right now, but I will post better pictures in the next couple of days.

We're still here!

Happy spring! Here's what we've been up to this month:

We started the month celebrating our SIX year anniversary! Yay! There's nothing like a wedding anniversary to remind you how lucky you are to be married to the most amazing man in the world. Thanks to everyone for your well wishes! It's great to honor the day with the friends and family who have been such an important part of our success. Here's to seven!

We spent the second week of March in Disney World with my side of the family. After spending a couple of relaxing days alone in Orlando, we met up with Mom, Dad, Laura, Jason and the kids and spent the rest of the week enjoying Disney. I think this is the only picture we have of the whole family:

This past weekend we ran in our first race! Terry ran the full marathon, I ran the 1/2 marathon, and it was awesome! Although, I would have enjoyed it more if it had been a bit warmer. It was SO COLD that one of the water stops was closed because all of the water was frozen. Brrr. We're already excited for our next race, but we're hoping it's a little warmer. The last picture is the sign the kept me running for 13 miles:

We're off to Seattle this weekend. It's our first time to Seattle, and we're really looking forward to it. We'll post some pictures next time.

Welcome Home, Thomas Jefferson

We got a new kitty! Patti, Terry's sister, found a sweet little cat, and we decided we were ready to adopt again. (For those of you who don't know, we lost our cat, Killer, in June) Terry's parents delivered Thomas Jefferson to us last night, and we love him!

Terry graduates RTU this Saturday, 11/15. We'll post some pictures of graduation next weekend.

Greeting from the wretched state of NC

I hope everyone is enjoying their fall! Once again, it's been a while since we've written, but we've been keeping busy. I've been traveling for some promotional work that I have been doing, and that will keep me busy through the end of next month. I was in Cleveland last weekend and in Charlotte this past weekend. I spent the week in between in Michigan having a much needed girls' vacation. I met Bevin and Lorin at Carmen's house in East Lansing. There was a lot of crying, drinking, and litte bit of birthday cake. It was great to spend some time with Carmen's new baby, Abey. Here is a pic of the newest Cuddeback:

We finally received the news of our assignment. We are staying in NC for another 3-4 years. It's official, I hate the Air Force. It feels like a knife in the heart.

Anyway, it will be a busy month ahead for us. I will be enjoying time at home for the next 2 weeks, and then I will be in Birmingham the first weekend in Oct, Orlando the following weekend, and then Jacksonville the weekend after. Terry will be TDY to Idaho the last two weeks of October. Maybe in November things will settle down and we can find a new house.

Our Summer

I know our outdated site has been frustrating, but we hope this site will be more user friendly and easier for us to update regularly. We still haven't heard any news on the new assignment, but we'll update our blog as soon as we hear something. There are only three possible bases we could get: Lakenheath AFB, England, Mountain Home AFB, Idaho, or staying here at Seymour Johnson AFB, NC. Hopefully we'll hear something before the end of September, so stay tuned.

We've been enjoying our summer, and we've been doing a bit of traveling. In May, we went to Pensacola for Amy's wedding. She had a beautiful ceremony at the Navy chapel:

The reception was at the Officers' Club on base, and they were also hosting the local senior prom. Brandon and I crashed the prom, and snuck into the picture line:

In June I traveled up to Maryland for a Moroney family reunion:

Later in June we traveled to Panama City for Patti and JC's wedding. The had a simple and elegant wedding at a local park:
